Now to clarify a few things, I dont know why I was removed as a mod, maybe Adam would like to let everyone know, as Caliope seems to think members asking me will dig them out of a hole.
Secondly GC wasn't dead in the water, when Adam shut the forum down, I, repeat, I offered to take GC off him and reopen it, he replied he would think about it, I have the email on file.
Also I asked him to reconsider reopening GC, again I have the email I sent.
So if Adam, and not Caliope, would like the members to know why the real reason the forum was shut down please let the members know instead of hiding behind caliope.

You were removed as a mod for undermining the admin in public. The first time you did this I let it slide - although incredibly angry by it. The second I did not. I emailed you advising the board was closed and that you were no longer a mod; which was followed by an email advising the reasons why.

The email on which you contacted me is an address that is really used. I haven't yet responded to that email so the email you refer to must be one of the ones I sent you (before you contacted me).

As far as I was concerned GC was closed. I had had enough and that is that. I knew that some members wouldn't be pleased with that so asked Cal and Sooty if they had any interest in salvaging the good points; with the intention that they started something new or combined it with something existing. You may also remember that the reasons were clearly stated on the closure measure that everyone who logged on would have seen.

As per the thread everyone has to read I am now just the owner. I supply the hosting and will do techy stuff as per Cal or Sooty's request. Day to day administration and responsibility now lies with Caliope and to that end I will only ever get involved if things reached a crisis point or something really couldn't be resolved.

So now that has all been explained for everyone I'm going to lock this thread as it was originally started about moderators - why Popi was removed and how a replacement was found and not about why the forum was closed. If you think that is wrong contact Cal or the mods - they have the authority to lock and unlock threads.
