I certainly agree that the 'just-in-time logistics' is daft and open to disruption. As to meal times being a 'movable feast' then that's true also.

Depending on how things are at home actually determines if/when I eat!

my normal working day eating times are:

breakfast:11.00am
dinner:2.00pm
snack (at work):5.00pm
tea (at work):9.30pm

i will cook Sunday dinner and it will take about 2 hours-ish to prepare-then we will normally eat the whole thing in about 5 minutes

tonight we had our tea at about 8.00pm-i remember reading an article a few years back saying that you should never eat hot meal at home after 8.00pm because it will upset your stomach when you go to bed at 11.00pm-i have not been to bed at 11.00pm in living memory

i guess that 9-5 working days are long gone and people eat when they can what with family life or when they are hungry

You all know my sleeping patterns are pretty messed up.... would it surprise you to know my eating patterns are too?

I often only eat one meal a day. And sometimes that is just a sandwich or toast.

how can you exist Amy on just a sandwich or a bit of toast a day?-you need at least one hot meal a day and the experts say you should never miss breakfast, although i often have my breakfast when most people are having their dinner

Daveagle's right there Amy. That is simply not enough and you'll damage yourself eating as little as that.

Yeah I know you are right, I can't help the way I am, when it comes to food I have more issues than a branch of WH smith!

I have an issue with food Amy, but I never let it affect my energy levels....Please don't end up giving yourself a Hiatus Hernia like I did-it's not worth it lass!

I also have a hiatus hernia and its not nice at all. If you get an attack its like the worst pain in the world!!

I have lots of problems with food. Mainly my son. He has "issues" with lots of things making cooking a nightmare.

Loads of stuff he won't even try. It takes a lot of the pleasure out of food.

Trying very hard to turn things around but it's so hard
