I was having the same problem with my old lap top jezer, then I bought the new one and no problem at all, so maybe that may throw some clues for our techy peeps.

You are using the old skin try changing to the new one I think there are proper instructions somewhere (Forum feedback?) but from memory

Edit options

The very last option changes the skin set that to GeneralChat
