How do I give a Reputation ?

I was reading in the FAQ and saw this:

How do I give reputation?

To give reputation, click on the reputation icon in the relevant post. This will reveal a form to complete with the reputation type and the reason for giving the reputation. If negative reputation is disabled then it will not be displayed in this form. You may not give reputation for the same post twice.

I was just wondering what the button looks like? Sorry if that's a silly question

Not a silly question at all - we actually have the rep disabled (no particular reason why that I know of, just always has been) so really I should take that out of the FAQ

To give someone reputation click on the little person in the grey bar at the top of the post

what happens if you change it?
