I am new to this forum, I joined thinking that I would be able to voice my opinion and give information to others.

I have posted 3 times about the use of 0844 numbers in the NHS, each time my post has been deleted without telling me ( I kept trying in case Id done it wrong), it was a non offensive and non political subject, just trying to help the general public of which I am a member and so are you.

I can understand, if posts are offensive, or politically based that you would not want to get involved, but mine was neither.

It does seem that you can only post here on subjects that the moderators are interested in or just idle chat, unfortunately I am not the sort that can chat about nothing. I want to talk about things that are dear to my heart, but it seems this is not allowed even though one moderator started a tread about the BBC showing an appeal for Gaza, and asking opinions, which to me is much more political than mine.

This post will probably be deleted also, and I may not be able to post again.

I am sorry that it has come to this, I would have liked to continue as this seems like a nice community but there is no point if I cannot talk about important issues to me and there dosnt seem to be any flexibility on this.

Nothing personal, and you are entitled to your opinion as I am entitled to mine, but I do feel that I have wasted my time here.

Casey
Somehow my previous reply to you was lost in the ether.

The arguement this end is not the content of your posting, but that of protocol in that it is usual and polite to introduce yourself and get a feel for the site through interaction with the members and then raise issues as you see fit, within common guidelines.

Or are we old fashioned?

Thanks for the reply, I can understand what you mean. Unfortunately thats not really what was in the email to me about deleting the posts.

Hi Kayc3660
Firstly let me apologise for not informing you of the removal of your post.
It was removed from the board in order for the mod team to discuss it.
We welcome you as a new member and look forward to you contributing to the forum whether it be news or current affairs, maybe you would like to share a funny joke with us or recommend a good book or film.
We are, however , reluctant to encourage the forum to become a campaign platform.

I apologise if I have broken your protocols but being a new member to this forum I was not aware what was expected. This is my first experience of any forum not just yours, I joined this forum for the express purpose of informing people that they did have a say in this 0844 thing. I didnt mean it to sound like a campaign, I was just trying to make things better for people, which wont happen unless they know about it.

Again sorry if I broke your protocols, didnt mean to be impolite.

Casey

We were concerned that people would become a one post wonder, as has happened, and that our site would be used as a site to place these missives. Look forward to you posting Casey.

I'm sure you'll enjoy it here and we look forward to hearing from you.
