Signature Updating

If you post with a signature does that post have that sig forever, or does it update when you update the sig in your profile, just like the avatar would?

I ask as I tried it and the sig stayed the same on existing posts, and updated on the newe ones. But it could have been user error

good question. My understanding was that it would update all posts .

it seems to take a while to change, has it changed now?

It didn't update that evening so I dropped having a signature.

And no I can't remember which post it was I had a sig on!
