Seriously, you'll have to use a pretty darn strong weedkiller on them. They are sods to get rid of. You'll need to make it double strength too. Get a 'Broad Leaf' killer or you'll lose all the grass too. Don't think about Sodium Chlorate unless you don't want to grow anythingthere for ages.

The front bit is literally 3 foot in the front of the house, this stuff has just appeared. The rest of the "plot" if you can call it that is either pebbles or concrete!

Should I pull up what I can first or just pour the weedkiller over.

Marnie, pull up what you can, level the ground, lay newspaper down and if you have ground cover put that over it, it wont come through again as the paper stops it.

It's concrete underneath where I think it's started, so if I get up what I can put the news paper down with some bricks or silmilar over the top?

Sweetheart, if it is growing from under the congrete, the it will be difficult, you will be better doing it the AK has said.

If it's growing from out of or under the concrete then you'll have to use weedkiller. You need the stuff to get right down to the roots and kill them. As I said, make sure it's a broadleaf killer. Any garden centre/shop will tell you the best stuff to use.
