I'm getting excited, a lovely lady on a genealogy forum I belong to is going to the LMA today and is going to get copies of the ancestor and his siblings baptisms for me.
She will aslo try to locate the marriage another time!!!

I've just had a few bricks flying around as the wall comes tumbling down. First I had a contact a couple of days ago from a lady in NZ who, it turns out, is my 6th cousin once removed. Our common ancestors date from 1703.
Secondly I'd run into a brick wall with my gt.gt.gt.gt.gt.gt.gt. grandad (I think there's enough gt's there) I'd been looking for ages but could not get any further back than him being born in 1748. Today, I cracked it and got his parents....and theirs. I'm now back to 1675(ish).
