Famous For 15 Minutes!

I think it was Andy Warhol who said that everyone is famous for 15 minutes.

I think mine happened in November, when something I wrote as a joke on a Civil Service forum, was treated as serious and was discussed in the press, mentioned in the house of commons, written about and quoted on the BBC website, in the daily express and the times, and made it into several blogs too.. not bad for a joke business proposal about giving staff punchbags, stress balls and aromatherapy!

I don't know if that really counts though, since I was never mentioned by name. If not that, maybe I'm still waiting for my turn...

So tell us chatters, what's your claim to fame?

I do it also made the papers in the form of Police appealing for witnesses it involved a petrol station some large inflatable balloons and a ransom note and a donation to charity. I'm not giving anymore details.
