I will not answer that question because I do not wish to be defined on the basis of my preferred newspaper

I mainly read online newspapers as I refuse to pay for adverts and the other dross most newspaper publish along with the odd news story.

I read online versions of

Svenska Dagbladet and Der Speigel to maintain my vocabulary and improve my Swedish and German grammar.

The International Herald Tribune, The Telegraph, The Times and occasionally the Daily Mail usually when I'm looking for thread ideas to start here. Also The Register, BBC News and Google News but they can't really be called newspapers

I find reading only one newspaper and indeed newspapers from only one Country does not really give a balanced view of events.

I don't buy any daily newspapers. I find the idea a little like communicating by letter as opposed to email, old fashioned and out of date by the time you read it. Online, radio and TV news services provide my news intake (BBC, AP, Google etc).

I do however buy the odd local paper for local info, supplements, recent chav activity etc, and will read papers of any flavour when I encounter them lying about friends houses, work etc.

Bunny, do think that the fact that some people may "define" others by their choice of newspaper says something about the printed press? Rightly or wrongly many will make assumptions about somebody who says they are a Mirror, Times, Morning Star Or Daily Mail reader etc. I personally wouldn't buy a daily paper if it was consistantly associated with points of view I didn't share. If I did share the points of view I wouldn't be shy about saying so.

The Guardian
The Independent
Daily Mail

BBC website mostly, but I'll read anything if it's there. I don't buy my own papers but if someone has a copy going begging I'll have a quick read.

You're a nosey kind of guy aren't you? Like Bunny I refuse to be defined by the papers which I may, or may not, read. I pick most of my information from "on line" sources including some French newspapers. If I can get translations of other foreign papers then I go there as well.
