Bugger all here.

I reckon that there is a change of policy in that the Met Office predict Doom and Gloom in order to cover their posteriors.

Our forcast was for light showers, all day. In the morning we had lovely sunshine, then about 3pm thunder (no lightning) and LOTS of rain and quite windy. This went on till late and into this morning.

Hello ruthykins.......mmmm i think we might have to resort back to the old methods of forecasting the weather..........*goes off to look at all the different methods over the years*

Selkie your new (old) method will only confirm what we already know, the long range forecast for a summer day is "warm but overcast with possible showers". A winter day forecast is "cold and overcast with periods of rain"

The short term forecast is looking out of the window and confirming the long range forecast (see above) was correct
