Default For Sooty

I noticed a tag on your recent posts which says that you are solving residues.
What does that mean and should I be afraid?

Well they scared me when I did them at University.

Ho ho! It depends whether Integral Calculus scares you or not.

I solve hard sums for a living (actually complex mathematical simulations). At the time I was using residue theorem solve some integrals of non-trivial quadratics.

I suspect you don't want me to go into details especially as we will end up describing poles

Well Soots, as long as your quadratics are not trivial, I reckon I can put up with a few poles...they have done wonders for our economy!!!
