I know that there is currently a credit crunch on, but some of these money saving ideas from the US are pretty shocking! How far would you go to save a few pence?
I heard about a woman who took a bet that she could live on a pound a day...and did it for a year!! Apparently she is writing a book about it now...no surprises there then...

I don't know how you could pay your household bills on that??? so I'm asuming the £ was purely for food??
