Right I am off to get ready to go out. My sis is picking me up at 20 past five and I need to sort my stuff out and have a bath and decide what to wear and do my hair and make up and find the memory card for my camera and get something to eat and and and and and......

I'm not quite that far up. It's been a good few years since I've been up to Morpeth. There has ben some localised flooding not far from where I am though.

I live bang smack next to a flood plain, and guess what?

It's doing exactly what it should be doing and soaking up all this wet.

If it gets bad then a stream appears at the bottom and flows into the main waterways.

Only the biggest biggest idiots would ever think of building there.

I'll keep you informed.

The deer is standing where the stream would form. I was standing in the study, from where I am typing this, to take the shot.
