Default Sunny Saturday

Mornin'all!

Jezer...any word on your friends in Texas? I saw some footage of the coast this morning and it was impressive for al the wrong reasons...

Sunny in the Midlands today...hope to be outside for much of it. Jess is marginally better so I hope she has turned a corner...

Hope your Saturday is a good one!

awwww Selkie...have a hug hun....there now doesn't that make you feel better.

Mornin peeps...a bit overcast here but dry and pleasantly warm.

This time next week I will be in my new abode...probably waiting for the man from Virgin to come and connect me to the world. Blimey how am I going to cope with being disconnected for 24 hours...that's phone and internet. The great thing is that there is no charge for the transfer and I get to keep the same phone number.

(thinks) What shall I do today...oooohyes I know...more packing lol

I've had a crap morning, wasted by going to the Romsey show where they couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery.

Sweet Pea- thanks for asking- chatted with friends and neighbours last night when it was just windy.

It's 7.30am there ATM and I will try them again later.

Power is out for around 3 million people ATM and the eye hit Galveston bang on, at just under Catagory 3 level- not good!

Over 100,000 residents chose not to evacuate low lying regions along the coast, so heavens knows what will happen.

The eye is now heading for Lake Jackson where we also have friends, but they have evacuated.

The storm is moving quite slowly so that is definitely not good news and is covering an area bigger than France.

Just chatted to former neighbours. Still very windy, houses intact, pools very full and debris all around.

No power for anyone but the worst is over. They are 60 miles inland, and the coast will be worse.

A prayer for your friends Jezer I hope they will be alright and everyone else threatened by this terrible storm.

It's difficult to comprehend sitting here with the sun shining on such a beautiful evening. It really is glorious here.
