Touch wood I don't suffer to badly now, but from the ages of about 4 - 24 I used to have incredibly bad hayfever during the summer months and then colds/other allergies during the winter months.

During the later years I tried pretty much every known drug there was! I even had a prescribed nasal inhaler.. not one of these nasal sprays .. a proper inhaler like asthma people. Only thing was the mist was so strong that it made me... yep you guessed it sneezed! Then I had an allergy blood test.. Doctor said it would be easier to tell me what I wasn't allergic too!!

I did find the Benadryl started to sort me out.. the ones you can take four or five a day but they are bloody expensive! Luckily now I only need to take them very occasionally!

Sweetheart, Im sure there is a drug given by injection for hayfever now, ask your Dr about it, though I must admit my son has it very bad like you and his Dr will not help him at all, the worst thing is he is allergic to his children, but it does not stop him cuddling and kissing them.

I suffer from Hayfever too!......I can cope in the main, but having a sneezing fit at an awkward moment is a real pest!

I've traid Tablet's and Nasal Spray's, they help a little, 'Bekonese' is about the best one I've tried.

Also a couple of years ago I purchased a 'Nasal irrigation' kit on the Web, when I was suffering for Months with a completely blocked Nose, it really did make a lot of difference first time I used it, a small plastic bottle with attachments, add lukewarm water and the salt sachet provided, but it's best not to overdo it as your Nose will get used to it and won't clear so effectively

I'm been sneezing like mad today.. big red watery eyes, running nose, soar throat, itchy ears so not good!

I got it much worse when I was younger and used to have a nasal inhaler but it was so powerful (it inject deep into your brain!) that it just used to inflame my nasal lining and make me worse!

I use the tablet loritadine(sp) which is what the doctors prescribed, still not strong enough as I would like but really does tone the hayfever done, i have to take 4 a day, it really stops the itching and my eyes and my nose.

I have been forever going back and forth to the doctors about my hayfever for years and nothing has ever worked, atleast this one kind of helps a little bit!

Get an ice mask on them eyes

Was only thinking recently with the first signs of prolonged sunshine that it's time to start the treatments.

People who do not suffer this annual nightmare do not know how lucky they are.
