Default Cutting salt 'will keep children slim'

Makes perfect sense, so WHY is so much salt being added to snack foods such as crisps etc, which children consume so much of. Walkers snacks are saturated in salt and I've thought for a long time now that companies such as them should be more responsible.

Salt in the diet is bad in that it retains fluid. The amount of carbonated drinks youngsters drink, is not a very good mix with crisps, as it retains the wrong type of fluid and causes dehydration.
I agree with you Sarah-it's wrong that they add so much salt to snacks.
