I bet it is scheduled which means no metal detecting allowed, sites like that generally are. It would be still worth visiting from a historical point of view though.

It's certainly worth visiting, for the views alone, it's all open land and there's nothing saying no metal detectors allowed, and there's no Wardens or anything like that, just a tea shop and souvenir shop.
