Doctor Who fans told to lay off Hamlet | The Register

Any Dr Who fans hoping to get David Tennant's autogragh at the stage door of Hamlet have been told that he will only be allowed to sign Official Shakespeare Theatre memorabilia and not anything connected with Dr Who.

Is this a reasonable demand or thinly veiled ploy to boost sales form the theatre shop?

Me thinks the later. How can you stop a celebrity from signing things? Are they going to have a Shakespearean guard to make sure he only signs theatre memorabilia?

And I can't imagine David Tenant being someone who conforms to such silly rules.

That's stupid, especially since they are trading off David Tennant's Celebrity status as Dr. Who to sell tickets. It works both ways you know!
