Probably not but I don't really see an issue with it. If they feel better about themselves by using a transgender toilet then so be it.

I don't wonder about it at all. I'm a fan of it being nature I'm afraid - the only way I think nurture is involved is whether or not people "come out".

However the answer to the question "why so many in Thailand" was answered by the theory that the culture is "softer". Do you think more people would come out here if the culture were softer, kinder to transsexuals?
The French have their own solution...unisex public loos. Disconcerting at first but second nature afterwards!!

I'm all for unisex public loos - would that mean that end to urinals? I can't stand urinals and it looks dodgy if I hang around in the pub loos waiting for the cubicle to be free!

You may have a point about culture being softer. Less taboos? Hmmm.

Adam get real mate! Any public event compare the queue for the ladies with the queue for the mens. I know we don't redo the lippie and comb our hair so that saves us ages but imagine the fall in throughput if we did away with urinals.
