Default Disgraceful NHS Ageism getting younger

In Britains third world bargain basement health service the treatment discrimination age seems to be getting lower and lower.

Over 50s being neglected in hospital - Telegraph

Time was you had to be under 70 to get treatment then 60 now this. At this rate in twenty years time it probably be under 30s only. Shame with our ageing population it will be the over 40's paying for it!

Scary. Always tickles me how government departments always seems to get away with things that they make illegal.

Older patients have a number of complaints/diseases which don't often affect the younger people in our society. One of the things mentioned in the article is Osteoarthritis and I suppose Rheumatoid Arthritis is another. Both are particularly painful and not being able to be completely cured, at the present time, could influence the ageism which happens in the NHS. At last there is a light at the end of the tunnel, that is unless the light is a train coming towards us, and the folk at Newcastle University are claiming that latest research has a potential to actually cure these illnesses. Maybe if a cure is found then ageism might decrease.

I wonder if this has anything to do with Government targets.

It could be Government targets, on the other hand it could be a way of removing some of the older folk in our society and thereby getting the costs down by reducing the amount paid out in State Pensions.
