Default Strange happenings in Tesco

so on Saturday night i popped into Tescos to pick up a few things and afterwards went to the kiosk to buy some papers-i heard a strange hissing noise coming fron the intercom and the assistant told me it had been doing that on and off all evening-she thought it was picking up interference from another source-it would rise in pitch and then lower in pitch and it suddenly rose a bit higher and then a stack of Quality Street tins fell over onto the floor and made a right racket-i jumped and so did she and another assistant ran over to the tins and said "what the hell is going on here tonight?"

it turns out that that very same thing had happened several times before that night and at no time had there been anybody near to the tins

i said jokingly "you've got a ghost" she said "no a poltergeist"

whatever it was it made the hairs on my arms stand on end

spooky huh?

dave

Ghost or poltergeist, whatever it is just doesn't like Quality Street, or more likely it's showing its disapproval of having all the Christmas displays up when it's still officially summer.

I love stuff like this ...

Wonder if anything horrible ever happened on the site that the Tesco's was built on?

It reminds me of a place I used to work when I first left school.
It was a small factory in some old railway station waiting rooms. Yes... I worked on a railway platform!
Years ago a railway guard had committed suicide there. Hung himself on night shift.
Strangely , every now and then we would all smell frying bacon and ten minutes after ... tobacco smoke.

That sounds sort of homely - spooky, but in a comforting kind of way.

You're right Minnie
It wasn't creepy at all and in the end we all starting just saying ..ah, Fred's having his fry up again. Two rashers for me please ... and that kind of daft thing.

It was built on the site of an ancient Indian burial ground.

I experienced a strange happening in Tesco last night. A block of cheese I bought and definitely paid for is so far nowhere to be seen in either the bag or in the kitchen! I hate when that happens.
