Default Strange sounds

ok, so all I keep hearing about are these strange noises all over the world ''recorded'' on camera, many videos on Youtube. Now many have been proven to be fakes but some leave even the experts confused. Apparently these sounds are coming from beneath the ground, (a loud humming sound or mechanical) what are your thoughts people???

Firstly welcome a"board" Matt. I read an article about this on either Skeptoid or Urban Exploration websites, all I can say is I walk through a cemetary on the way to work and I get this sort of buzzing in my ears. It could be the enclosed area I am walking through with a lot of trees but I'm not sure.

thank you Eltei that is pretty odd i have to say. I've had some fairly unusual experiences in my time that I cannot explain. It certainly is a strange world we live in

I, too, have heard about this phenomenon, but have never experienced it. Like other 'supernatural' phenomena, it fascinates me and I wish I knew more about it.

Buried underground cables? Any substations nearby? If so, the equipment could be creating static in the air, maybe.

not sure about that to be honest, so many different locations around the world that have had these so called ''strange noises'' would love to know whats behind it or if it's just one big hoax

A good point. Does anyone here know the frequency of the vibrations? 50Hz (in the UK)?

Never heard of them myself, Matt. Will look it up on here later. Perhaps theyre a symptom of the parallel universes we're supposed to be surrounded by.

Working alone in the school with its labrynth of corridors the other day I kept on hearing a sort of echoey foot steps sound. Now being located next to a cemetary and not having the foggiest what the noise is your imagination does tend to go into over-drive.......armed with a bit of wood..........cos that's really going to fend ghosts and ghouls off!..I went in search of the source of the foot steps. Searched high and low, It took me a fair bit being a bit mutt and geoff until I finally narrowed it down to a store room. I slowly unlocked the door wielding my bit of timber only to find two blessed magpies stomping about on the skylight trying to wrench the sealer out. Just this once it goes to show that there is a rational reason for "strange noises".
