I've had a couple of experiences that cannot be explained, so I'm tending to not be as sceptical as I used to be, and believe me, I take some convincing.

With me, unless something is clearly black or white, or proven beyond all doubt, I don't believe it. So, I'm not given to flights of fancy.

My mum died 15 years ago. I still miss her. There are times when she appears in my dreams, most often when I am having a crisis. I once 'asked' her why she came back to see me and her reply was 'just to make sure you're ok'. Is this wishful thinking on my part or is my mum really watching over me? I know what I want to believe.

I definitely believe in it tho I havent seen any proof of it. It gives me comfort to believe that my mum and friends that have passed are still watching over me.

We are watched over by our loved ones....FACT!!!!

I have been able to see the other side since I was very little, I don't see so much now as I have blocked it out

I have had many experience, some big, some small, some significant some not so

I know there is life after death and I know they know we are here "sometimes" other times there is a mirror image of history if you like, sometimes we just live side by side and we happen to see through windows

Your loved ones will still be with you, not all of the time for they have lives to live also but they will be there if ever you need them

My dog comes to me when the going gets tough, I know he is there if i need him though i prefer him to be in the meadow of green grass where I know he now lives with my other dog

I have seen full ghosts and funnily enough they are not at all disconcerting

The sudden noises of objects moving can be and the ones I can't see but can sense are the ones that make me jumpy

I don't have the gift of full sight, or maybe I do and I just won't use it?

I believe also that there is life after death. We are made up of 'energy' and our 'soul' or whatever you choose to call it continues on after the physical body is dead. Now we have some very interesting paths we could follow conversationally as to where each of us is destined to go and could start as a separate topic.

One thing I do not believe in is the Christian belief of a 'heaven' and a 'hell'. I do however believe in angels, reincarnation, past lives etc.

My mum passed away in 1992 and from time to time visits me in my dreams. I am never sure if it's me conjuring her up through thought. I have asked her why she appears and she always says it's to check I'm ok.

I read your other experience which was saying the same thing Bunny.

I'm a male, and I think that makes a difference in that we tend to be ruled by our head rather than our heart on these matters.

I also have a scientific background.

That all said, I truly believe that there are events that we cannot explain by normal means.

I think that your experiences can be Bunny- stress leads to thinking about so many things- I have been there- so I would not like to comment on what happened to you.

Sorry for the ramblings- that's a bloke for you.

Both my parents are dead, all my aunts and uncles are dead even my childhood sweetheart is dead. A couple of years ago a car I was testing had a mechanical failure at high speed I'm told it rolled over nine times (I had my eyes shut so I missed it). Nothing... nada you'd have thought one of them could have made the effort. To this day I have never had any kind of communication or experience to support the idea that they can return or influence the living.

There may well be some sort of afterlife, I don't know, but I think that if and when we get there there's no way back to here.

Sorry folks but you did ask what I think
