ohhhh .... ..... Very 'X-Files' ......

Think I might be more impressed if Britain were to be more up front with whatever is or isn't visiting our Planet ..... very hard to believe anything the Americans say on this subject, they're too hysterical and liberal with the truth.

despite decades of speculation and supposed sightings/visitations/abductions by aliens, we have yet to see any concrete proof that there is life out there and that it has visited us in the past

i find it it hard to believe that we are the only living beings in an infinite universe-then again, if we had been visited in the past, why would they pick this planet out of trillions of others in trillions of other galaxies?-and if they had been here, why not say hello?

as much as i am fascinated in this sort of topic, i am still highly sceptical about old photographs showing dustbin lids being thrown and being passed off as alien spaceships

I think we can be a bit more open minded now. In the 50s 60s and 70s it was important to rank and file Americans that the US was in control of everything as the alternative was that the 'Communists' were doing something anti-American somewhere in the world. It was just not possible for America to admit that they didn't know about something because that would be taken as a sign of weakness.

These days there is less paranoia around so maybe it is time to take another more objective look.

Maybe there is life on other planets maybe there isn't but if there isn't. Maybe it is possible to 'warp' the laws of physics as we know them so that the imense distances can be traversed, maybe they can't

I think the important thing is to remain objective and with that in mind I'm not sure another 'definative' study is the way to go. Imagine a Jumbo jet flying across the battlefield at Waterloo, would the scientists of the day been capable of understanding what it was and how it worked? I doubt it. The religion of the day would just have branded it as witchcraft and forbidden all knowledge and study. The Politicians would just see the advanced technology as a threat and bury the knowledge from public view. So what would happen if proof was found today?

As I said maybe there are and maybe there aren't ,the important thing is to say "I don't know, let's keep an open mind and wait and see".

'Are we alone'?.......hmmm, interesting question!

Obviously I can't be a 100% sure but the thing is if there are 'Intelligent Beings' out in the Universe why haven't they tried to contact us? My point being 'they' have had since the Dawn of Man/Woman to get in touch with we 'Earthlings' by some means or other!

Maybe they got an engaged number, or one of those lines with countless options, and gave up.

Probably like the Star Trek route where they don't want to interfere and upset the status quo! Or maybe our fuel prices put them off!

I think Gordon Brown is definitely an alien.

What with those weird squinty eyes and that thing he does with his mouth - surely can't be human.
