Default Any Bikers Out There?

It appears that one or two of you indulge in biking from time to time. Perhaps you'd like to tell us of your experiences.

Is that the 'falling-off' or the staying-on' experiences?

Ahh the mis-spent youth you mean? Sadly one of the things I had to cut down on due to multiple attacks of sproggitis. Still caused a guy to sprain his ankle laughing once!

It's up to you. You could even do both.

My brother-in-law used to race as an amateur, but he did have a sponsor called Mike Wheeler Racing.
On one occasion when he came off and slid along the ground on his back, the name was erased to Mike Whee.

Back in the 70s I my learning bike was a Yamaha AS1, a 125 2 stroke twin, a brilliant old rat bike that went like hot snot!!! The only trouble with it was that it used to oil up plugs like a barsteward so I always had to carry spare plugs and a plug spanner. Many's the time I could be spotted at the side of the road changing the plugs so I could get the damn thing home.
My worst experience was when the clutch cable snapped when I stopped at traffic lights one day. I managed to ride it home with no clutch, changing up was not too much of a problem but changing down was a bugger. Got the pig thing home though.

Hello, My name is fred and I'm a biker.

Well - sort of.

I was, in a past life, a drop out greasy biker who liked rock music, newcastle brown and large motorbikes to do very silly things on while being faster than most things on the road and a few in the sky. (The Cessna company of America makes a couple of thinks I could blow off).
Now I like in Indonesia and not that much has changed except that I no longer drink and bikes are smaller.
My lastest toy is a Honda 200cc tiger. Not that big but on Indonesian roads it's more than plenty and other than a Yam 225 it's the biggest normally available thing out here.

Now for the good bit. No speed limits boys and girls and no one gives a flying rats ass what you do most of the time .
I choose to wear a helmet cos I'm a soft wimp but most of the time I could get away without it as no bugger else bothers except in the cities.

Biker's paradise out here until it rains - When it rains, as it's just started to do, it comes down by the bucket full big style.

Oh hum - Now did I bung the waterproofs on the bike I wonder.

A bit late, but hey ho...

As some of you already know i am a biker. I use to ride a Honda Fireblade until some numpty in a transit van decided to pull out in front of me and send me flying! I broke my pelvis, left leg, collar bone, ribs, puntured my left lung and broke my left wrist. I haven't been on a bike since the accident, but hope to very soon. But for now I am going to sit back and watch the World Superbikes and Motogp.
