Default Petrol shortages? What petrol shortages?

So how was it for you? Couldn't get any petrol for the mower? Used the bus rather than the car? Or perhaps arranged a car share with you mates?

Did the two day closure of a single refinery make any devestating difference to you life style? ...... No thought not

Just another media engendered panic to sell papers oh and an opportunity for garage owners and petrol companies to up the price again!

I had to fill up on Saturday as the car was low on fuel. There was a man at the entrance explaining that only a couple of pumps were open for diesel. The cashier said it had been bedlam all day with panic buying.

You're quite some way south of the border as well, aren't you Disco?

Nowt to report here except that we have so few garages these days that there are often queues anyway.

I think the media did try and induce panic. There was more of a queue when I filled up as usual on Saturday, but then the weather was good so could have been down to that.

And surprise surprise BP and Shell are announcing record profits again
