Default Inside ant city

This is truly amazing, but I don't think it's right it should have been destroyed.

The structure covers 538 square feet and travels 26 feet into the earth. In it ’s construction, the colony moved 40 tons of soil. Billions of ant loads of soil were brought to the surface. Each load weighed four times as much as the worker ant, and in human terms, was carried over 1/2 mile to the surface.

Although what these ants have done, and the distance they carried the soil is awesome, ants are a nuisance, and if red ants, can cause an allergic re-action-this happened to me and I had to have emergency anti-histamine and adrenaline administered. Red ants have a very potent sting which causes the skin to really hurt and swell, and in people like me who are allergic to 'ant sting', can cause anaphalactic shock!
