Do you think your hair grows quickest if it is cut often? Washed often or just left natural. I've read several 'Techie sites' debating this I just wondered what people here thought.

My Daughter hardly ever has her hair cut and has to be coerced into washing it-it grows faster than any-one else's hair-at a rate of knots I would say (No pun intended)!

OMG. Sooty, do you REALLY sit at home looking such things up on the internet? You DO surprise me. You've really got to get out more!

Seriously though..........I don't think it makes a blind bit of notice how you treat your hair. It'll still grow at the same rate. Maybe a healthier diet helps new cells generate, thus forcing the old cells out quicker.

I used to visit a mate of mine who has a smallholding and wandered around with straw in his hair- no kidding.

He had quite long strong hair.

He is also 50 and single.

I'm losing my hair on top.

Every now and then I get the clippers out and shave my head on a number one setting.

When my hair grows back it is pretty quick.

Except....

The top grows so far and seems to stop, but the back and sides keep growing.

Weird...

my hair grows really quickly and looks more and more ridiculous the more it looks until i end up with a centre parting frizzed up on both sides

fortunately i wear a baseball cap to work hiding the evidence, but i do need a cut urgently if i want to go out in public

I think hair is supposed to grow quicker in warmer weather but I don't know if washing it more often causes any difference in growth though. I keep mine fairly short but it still grows too quick for my liking. Easy to cut with the clippers though, I've not been to the barbers for years!
