Looking at the map I'm surprised at how many probes have been sent. I wonder why the concentrate on the Northern plains?

I've no idea - must be the best place to land, or to explore once landed?

Me too. The only thing I don't like about all this space travel is that the good stuff (living on other planets, Star Trek, etc) wont happen in my life time.
