Default Good news for wildlife

An interesting article. Do any of you leave a messy bit in your garden to accommodate wildlife?

We leave one part of our garden pretty much to nature. It borders a stream and apart from trimmimg some willow and ash and getting rid of the brambles it is left alone.

There are things like slow worms, a woodpecker, frogs, shrews and all sorts there at one time or another.

I did spot a kingfisher once but he's moved further downstream.

I've seen it only once but I know people who've been further upstream and have seen it there.

There are egrets and herons up there as well.

egrets are lovely birds and herons are just so elegant...not far from me is the Plym estuary and often there are herons there waiting on the mud as the tide comes in.
