My vote would go to

Andy Priaulx

2007 and 2008 World Touring Car Champion (Not some joint 2nd place newbie).

Of course he wont win because his sport isn't shown on the BBC or ITV.

Joe Calzaghe deserves a look in but it will probably be Lewis Hamilton

Hamilton must be odds on, and besides, it's very British not to win.

I'm very surprised that he won.

I'm not saying that he doesn't deserve the award, I think there was a concerted voting effort put in.
