Default Big Sam leaves the Toon

So Sam Alardyce has left Newcastle United by mutual consent, you should see the party going off in Geordie land, so who is the next lamb to the slaughter, or could it be.
Alan Shearer?

Dunno Popi.

I know little about football.

Newcastle has had a fantastic past and the fans are aware of it.

How they address the future is so difficult.

They have great ambitions and that costs so much these days.

I had a great post as to how to do it, but I'll wait for the phone call!

well that has been on the cards for some time now and read "by mutual consent" as he was given the boot-i do not see how Alan Shearer can take the job as he does not have the necessary qualifications, but whoever does take it will have to be aware that he has to manage a team who, to be honest, are not very good and have not won anything in living memory

Well, looks like Harry Rednapp is being touted for the post, hope not, he is needed at Pompey.
Shearer has said he isn't interested, I think he has his coaching badges now, but saying that, Chelsea and Middlesbrough managers still don't have the badges required as yet, they have been given time to get them.
Dont let the Geordies hear you say they have never won anything, or you will get a lecture about the 50's and 60's when they were classed as a top flight club, winning a European trophy.
I think they are big because of their fan base up here, their ground is a lovely ground right in the centre of Newcastle, everytime I pass it I always think, Hmmmm must be the poshest public toilet in the North East, well, words to that effect

Good point Popi I'm trying to remember how many Geordies were playing in the Fairs Cup victory they all rant about.

The Telegraph mentioned Martin Jol as a possibility.
