In dropping Jonny Wilkinson are they making him a scapegoat for an allround poor team performance or does he deserve to go ?

To be honest England have been a 'one trick pony' for a number of years. He probably doesn't deserve to be dropped but then again hopefully it will cause them to think up new tactics like 'kick it out wide for the winger to chase' except they've already tried that one

What is it with the Scots?

Beat England one week and lose to Italy the next.

No- for Italy.

Quote from BBC-

Despite the victory Italy still finished bottom of the table, but the fact mattered little to both players, management and supporters who celebrated jubilantly in Rome.
