Should Fabio Capello have given David Beckham his 100th cap
in tonights friendly against Switzerland?

Just been listening to the pundits - hate that word- before the match.

They were asked this question as to whether he should get his 100th cap.

They all said yes but agreed that there are better players around now.

Seems to me the perfect situation- pundits talk and the manager is expected to get results.

Just one question....
If David Beckham couldn't kick a ball in a straight line, or whatever else he does with a football. Then what do you think he would have done in "real life" for employment?
He is as thick as sh1t and has all the personallity of a ballpoint pen. I bet he wouldn't have even got a job stacking shelves at Tesco's...
And the anorexic other half wouldn't be on the scene either. I bet that between them they would get a Mensa score that would say that they could operate a lawnmower... Provided that there was some adult to take charge.......

point taken Sir C, but the fact is that he has been a very good footballer for this country, hence the 99 caps which is a remarkable achievement-he did make a mistake in going to the States which may have resulted in him being dropped for this game, but his best days are definitely behind him

a London accent does not mean he is as "thick as s...", and you cannot be stupid after making all of that money and the name Beckham is now famous worldwide, whether you agree with the reasons behind it or not-everybody knows that his wife has earned a lot of money out of the Beckham name as well, but she also earned a pot out of the Spice Girls-i am not too keen on them either, just stating the facts

no, he should not have been awarded his hundredth cap as he has not been playing regularly and or as well and there are other younger players waiting to take his place-Bentley and Lennon spring to mind
