My First Football Game

Hi guys,

Went to my forst ever football match yestaerday. Leicester v Plymouth Argyle!
We (Leicester) lost 1-0, but it was still a really good day.
I was pleasently surprised that there mwas no violence or problems between the fans and I had a great time.

Does anyone else suppourt the good ol' foxes?

Do you remember your first football match?

Support Foxes- no.

First match was in the early 1970s- Swindon against Arsenal in the third round of the FA Cup and was the first time they'd met since Swindon beat Arsenal in the final of the League Cup 3-1 in extra time at Wembley in 1969.

Swindon lost.

England Under 21s vs Holland Under 21s. Don't remember much about the game except a Dutch shot that hit the post flew across the goals hit the other post and then went in. Scored by some young kid named Johan Cruyff who nobody had every heard of. Still got the match programme somewhere

Not sure - except they really didn't fight hard yesterday.Ian Hume was about the only one that did.

My Grandson Ben was scouted recently by Leicester Colts-he wants to play for Leicester when old enough-they will have to up their performance if he is serious, or he could change his mind!

my first football match was Crystal Palace against Bristol City in 1979-i support Palace and we won 3-0-ironically my eldest son supports Bristol City and we will be watching the match at Ashton Gate against Palace on Monday week-he will be in home end and i will be in away end-if City win, he will be walking home-only joking
