Dwain Chambers is included in the squad for the World Indoor Championships.
Uk Athletics opposed his selection but felt they had no choice but to include him.
Given his drug taking past should he be in the squad?

Having listened to the story, I'm afraid this is UK Athletics not having the courage of their convictions. So what if he threatened legal action? He's now considering an appeal so that he can go to the Olympics. Disgraceful cowardice.

my first reaction would be no as he took drugs and won the race by cheating and therefore he should not be allowed to attend-this would send out the wrong message to any would-be athletes out there

then again he did serve his ban and is willing to be tested again-i would still say no because his name will now always be synonymous with performance-enhancing drugs and there will always be that thought in the back of peoples' minds

I'm a bit confused. According to Wiki his 2 year ban was given in 2003 and he made a comeback to the sport in 2006 Norwich British Grand prix Games finishing 3rd. No opposition was made at that stage so why the outrage now?

Might it be because he gave an interview to Matthew Pinsent suggesting there might be others in the UK team using the same drugs?

Should he be allowed to compete no! But only because he turned his back on the sport twice to play American Football and he has only come back to athetics because that didn't work out. He is 30 years of age and I feel he would be picked at the expense of an 'emerging talent'.
