I wonder what's triggered it. He always seemed unstable, so I'm not really surprised.

I think on Sky News the writing that goes across the bottom said a family member had said it was a cry for help.

That was this afternoon when it was breaking news.

More likely a cry for help as he'd dropped his drink and couldn't find it.

he could have been one of our best footballers ever and it is a shame that his life has now descended to this-i saw him play way back and thought he was a tremendous prospect but now he appears to be going the same way as George Best

My understanding is that there was a fire alarm at the hotel where he had been staying for 2 weeks. There was apparently 'grabbing and a bit of verbal' when a porter tried to prevent Gazza going back to his room to get a coat.

I've been there done that! I didn't get sectioned! I suspect there's a lot of 'Hollywood' action here by various people wanting to see their names in print.

Apparently he had been 'a charming guest' up until this incident" the hotel manager said.

Best place for him....
he's an "has been", an alcoholic and a wife beater.
He should have been sectioned years ago
