the problem here is that Keegan's arrival would automatically transform the club's fortunes and that has not happened-if anything, they are in a worse state now than before with relegation not only a possibility but a distinct probability
Newcastle have made a big mistake of appointing a manager who performed well previously and who would therefore do so again-i have never understood that way of thinking
the best way forward is for Keegan to resign or be sacked, the club to be relegated, at least half of the squad to be transfer-listed and to start again from scratch
