I thought that I'd start this as a forum for anything related to Wimbledon.

Are you going to be watching at all?

I like tennis but get fed up with the talk about British players. Just enjoy the game. Oh- and ban the ***** grunting.

I don't bother as much as I used to. To be honest there are no characterers anymore. Different names turn up every year but they all seem to have had a 'personalityectomy' nobody jokes or entertains, it's all intensity and focus sadly not all that interesting. It seems tennis has become just another profession.

As for all the grunting, if you made that sort of noise while bowling a cricket ball you would be warned for poor conduct

Oh yes - two hours to go and I shall be watching. It's the one time I don't mind the tv being taken over by sport!

You're right about lack of personalities Sooty!

If they could give an interview without using a cliche or an Americanism like 'up for it' I'll be surprised. Mind you the questions are so inane.

I like wimbledon because it's about the only tournament where we get to see the doubles and mixed doubles competitions (and on grass aswell)
oh and ditto the comments about the grunting men and squeaking ladies.

One of my favourite matches is when the old players play their doubles - always entertaining!
