Default Deathly Hallows

Warner Brothers are planning on turning the final Harry Potter book
(deathly hallows) into two films.
Is this a cynical way of wringing the hugely successful brand of as much money as it can or, as they claim, is the book so full of incident that it would be impossible to do in one film?

The answer is possibly yes and yes.

One of the other books was severely abridged for the film I believe.

I would rather pay to see two and be satisified than one with everything crammed and bits missing.
I don't really care how much they make, as long as it is good.

Have you read the Deathly Hallows?
Everything in that novel is vital .. there is no section you can just take out

I love Harry Potter, as long as the films are good I don't mind that there is two of them.

TBH I found Deathly Hollows a bit of a let down. After all the hype of 'Bad guys don't go after minor figures' which major figure go killed Snape? well hardly a surprise Tonks? Dobby or Hedwig. But then they were not originally intended to be books for adults and most of DH was written at the same time as PS.

While there is probably enough material in DH to make 2 films all the real setting up is done in OOTP and HBP which really needed 3 films to be made out of those two books.
