After seeing who actually won - Lee McQueen - I have to wonder about British Industry. If he was the best out of over 20,000 then it's God help the rest. The man lies about his qualifications and length of time he was actually attending University and, what's more, he wasn't a bit fazed by being found out. Like Jezer, if anyone I was interviewing told me lies about their previous experience and qualifications and I found out about it then that would be the end of them. I always used to check on references and qualifications when I was carrying out interviews for staff. Lies were exposed many times and the applicant got no further. It seems that "tweaking" your qualfications and education is symptomatic in many cases. As for making a presentation, the abilty to do this is an integral part of any managers skills. Knowing how to prepare, keep within a time limit, aiming the presentation at the correct audience and keeping the audiences attention is essential to a managers job. The presentation and the "freezing" which Lee showed made me cringe. I think Alan Sugar will soon find out that his protegé is all mouth and trousers.
