Default What are you listening to?

What music do you like? What is the last album you bought? Do you go to see live music at all?

I like a lot of things, mainly indie, rock and metal but will give anything a try.

Last album I got was searching for a former clarity by Against Me! Which actually came out in 2005 but I only recently heard of them, and now I absolutley love them, they are classified as "folk-punk" whatever that is, but I listen to lots of stuff, I also like a bit of 80's cheese now and again, even though I'm told it's not "cool".

My favourite band of all time is probably Placebo.. they did a wonderful cover version of Kate Bush's Running Up That Hill, that song means a lot to me and I also love their song Teenage Angst, even though I am 30

I like live music but living where I do I don't get the opportunity to see as many bands as I would like to.

Over to the rest of you.... what are you into?

I have a very eclectic taste - not much I don't like tbh. Sadly, never seen anything live but would like too!

I have a friend who is a folk singer, he's brilliant, just him and his guitar..... lovely voice. I go to as many of his shows as I can, and I hassle people to buy his CD's

I like most music such as rock, etc, even some classical. Can't stand rap though.

Favourites include Pink Floyd, Queen and a few others. Yes I like Kate Bush too, I've a couple of her CD's.

It's been a while since I saw a group live though.

I've just got The Wombats album (thats Wombats, not Wombles before anyone says )

It's excellent! And the last track was a surprise, a cover of Leona Lewis's Bleeding Love.

Blimey over 1000 albums, cd's and the like and I can't come up with a single name I change so often. Perhaps my long term favourites are Pat Metheny who unless you know the film Fandango you probably won't have run across and Gordon Giltrap (check YouTube). Actually I hate Gordon because it took me years to learn to play the standard version of this, then he does this!

YouTube - Gordon Giltrap plays Angie by Davy Graham

What I would do to be able to do what his left hand can!

Great clip Sooty.

I'd like to see Fandango, BTW.

It's funny and really poignant too. Five college mates on a last holiday trip before they face the Army draft for Vietnam.
