I thought there was something up last week when all the presenters were saying things like 'Monty would love this'

Monty Don, Gardeners' World presenter, suffers stroke - Times Online

I have never really warmed to his style the way I did Geoff Hamilton or Alan Titchmarsh and maybe that was partly due to the collections of assorted oddbods he has been given as co-presenters. Still it's a shame I hope he recovers and returns next year.

I was sad to read this, though I too share your sentiments regarding the previous presenters Sooty.

Geoff Hamilton was my absolute favourite and would be guest of honour at my fantasy dinner party.

Oddball co-presenters? Surely not.

Anyone remember Bob Flowerdew and his recycled tyres?

Bet he left nails on the road.
