Mind you I could have bought a bottle of Chateau Latour and drunk it watching Eurovision or whatever instead of driving to the play and being somewhat disappointed, and saved some money.

As usual the voting was mostly political. Bit of a joke really. There was a few songs that were not too bad though.

I didn't like their song but I thought the lead singer in Spain's entry looked like Cat off Red Dwarf!

Well I was wrong. Being serious as a song contest it's a joke I honestly thought Bosnia who couldn't sing (I tempted to post the you-tube video) would only get a few votes but because he came from the Balkans finished in the top third. There were great singers from Poland and even the UK but against political voting the best songs will never win. As Terry Wogan said I'm not sure I want to do this again. Italy and Austria walked away last year I suspect Germany will follow this IMO the UK should join them. The UK pays over 30% of the costs of the show from license payers money, maybe its time the cost of the show was spread around more.

Yeh that pissed me off before it had even begun!

I wonder if Terry will walk away. I think we should as it is a complete farce! I didn't watch the main part but did have the results on as they are always good for a laugh!

I heard about the Dr Who thing at the theatre- those there reckon that the contest should go on BBC3+

The news this morning is saying that Terry Wogan is seriously questioning fronting this stupid programme in the future. One thing that I noticed was that the majority of the so called artists were singing in English, or at least what they saw as English. The political slant has always been there but it stood out this year like the balls on a whippet.

I for one will most certainly not be watching this again.
