I'm afraid I have not heard of it. Could you tell me more? I might be missing out!

Well, it's about a young boy who finds a dragon egg, which turns his life upside down. His uncle gets killed, and he has to look after the dragon and learn to use magic, and beat the baddies(urgals and Ra'zacs) to the varden.(A group of rebels that are against the king's evil rule) The boy's name is Eragon, named after the first ever Dragon rider, or Shurt'ugal in the ancient language. There is a second book called Eldest, wnd there is a third on the way, called Brisingr, which means fire in the ancient language.

That sounds like my kind of thing actually. I will look out for the books, will probably not watch the film until I have read the book so that it does not influence my interpretation of the characters, etc.

Sounds like a good read. It reminds me a bit of a computer game I used to play called 'Drakan: Order of the Flame'!

Just to say I have reinstalled Drakan back on the PC. I had to do a couple of minor tweaks to get it to run on Windows XP, but otherwise, no problems.
