Default Classical Music

Does anyone here like classical music?
I very much enjoy opera and violin work/piano work.

I am going to go to the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden in a few weeks.

Itzhak Perlman is my favourite violinist. I have several of his albums. But he is getting old and I genuinely think the world will have lost something so valuable when he passes away. I also know everything about him.

I particularly love this piece:

ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

If you go to 2:48, I can almost hear someone's soft cry. I know, of course, that isn't the case, but the music is so powerful and so moving it can make peoples' hearts acke. It was composed by John Williams (he got an award for that musical piece) but he is also well known and revered.

Anyway, I decided to share this with you all.

I have always particularly liked O mio Bambino Caro by Maria Callas.

The very first opera I heard was "Plaisir d'amour" ... and there it began ...
I know it word-for-word.

I also like "Caruso" from Caruso the Movie by Lucio Dalla.

Il gladiatore - so powerful! They put it in the movie gladiator.

I also like Ave Maria (De Schubert).
