I watched it last year because I had a personal interest in Rhydian Roberts. BTW he's nothing like the monster Danni Minogue tried to turn him into in the series. To answer your question Evie he was signed by Simon Cowell straight after the last series so he was tied into touring the X Factor show until March. Currently he's in Nashville, he's contracted to Cowell to make two albums before going into a Lloyd Weber show in the West End early next year. I dunno about anybody else.

I don't mind the 'proper' show but the cheap fill in where they show the clueless, talentless auditionees gets my back up. Why somebody did tell them 'look you're hopeless. You are just going to be exploited and made to look a buffon so don't do it' I just don't know. Then they burst into tears when they don't get though, priceless.

No Sharon this time around, not a bad thing hopefully it will be about talent rather than looks though

I had the misfortune to hear a few seconds of Who Dares Sings this evening with the girl 'singing' I Will Survive.

Was that the tuneless wonder singing in a sedan chair thing as dhe was carried onto the stage?

I only caught about twenty seconds of it my God talk about freak show TV.

I love the auditions! By the time it gets to the live shows I have lost interest. They very rarely perform anything I would like to listen to, and certainly never end up with an artist whose records I would buy. This is just personal taste, and I do not doubt the talent of the contestants who reach the final stages of the competitions.

It's my mean streak I know, but the only bit I really like is seeing what nutters turn up to audition and listening to the judges comments! Sometimes the look on their faces says it all.

I luv xfactor one of my fav progs! Cant wait 4 the new series. I liked Sharon but now they have Cheryl Cole, she is gr8 and should b a good judge cos she started on 1 of these shows! Simon Cowell can b a bit mean but thats what makes good telly!

It will, sadly, be on in this household and I will, inevitably, get sucked into it as I always do!

I'm not going to be in this saturday, I am guessing like previous years it will be repeated on a sunday, so I may watch it then.

I admit it, I watched it and enjoyed it. I don't know why this show makes me watch, I don't watch any other show like it.

I couldn't audition for it though, I know I can't sing. Makes you wonder about those who do when they can't
