Default Groups which seem to have Gone out of Business

I was just thinking about some of the groups I used to hear in the 1970's and 1980's. Groups like the Culture Club, Duran Duran, Bananarama and so on. One group, if you can call a duo a group, which used to set my teeth on edge were that couple of Scottish blokes who used to sing "100miles and a 100 miles" or some such rubbish. I just forget their names but they seemed to disappear and a good job too. Can you remember any of the other groups around that time?

I thought the song sounded more like a dirge than anything tunefull. I can't for the life of me remember their name but since I wasn't all that fussed with them I don't suppose it matters.

The Proclaimers sang 500 Miles and they are still going, as are Duran Duran I think.

Of a similar vintage would be Ultravox, The Human League, OMD etc

Good Lord - it makes you wonder where they all went. We know where the Beatles went in the 1970's and I don't suppose many of you heard of Lonnie Donnegan and his skiffle group. Of course they were before the time I am thinking of. Strange how ones mind loses some things and can yet remember others.
