Default Red Dwarf

As you may have noticed, I'm an avid Doctor Who fan, but also a big fan of Red Dwarf. Any RD fans here?

I'm big into RD up until season 8. Any thoughts?

Red dwarf hasn't been on tv for years over here. There was/is still some talk of a film according to Robert Llewelyn's website but I think everybody's given up hope. I thought they were great up until RD got stolen and the crew spent all the time in Starbug (I forget which series that was) they started going downhill from then on.

Ohh! I feel a Jackson Pollock coming on!

BTW I see you into Lost. I watched it avidly until the end of series 2 when it went PPV in the UK. I keep thinking about buying the box dvd sets but I here that the show isn't as good as when it started. Is it worth catching up on?

I love Red Dwarf too. I was lucky to meet Craig Charles on a train when I was 16, he was a really nice bloke.

Ohh that's got me thinking...... new thread shortly......

Yeah, I love Lost. It definitely is worth catching up on. That sucks that it went PPV over there though I can't wait until 2009 when it returns.

Yeah, season 8+ just didn't do it for me too. It just didn't have the flavour that it used to have.

Meh, turns out I'd already done my meeting famous folk thread. So I just gave the old thread a bump.

Red Dwarf was great, but a good example of shows which go on too long. They should have stopped at series 6, more than that was just indulgence, saving Chris Barrie from the Brittas Empire!

Recent comedy shows in which the writers star (Litttle Brtain, The Office etc) tend to top out after 2 or 3 series and leave you at their peak

It's on Dave at 10.20pm on a Wednesday. They are showing season 6 at the moment.

I've always enjoyed Red Dwarf but it wasn't as funny in the later series.
